Accessibility

This site is built to be usable with a keyboard, with a screen reader, at high zoom levels, and with reduced motion enabled. That is a design requirement rather than an add-on, and it is checked as pages are built rather than audited afterward.

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are not claiming certification — we are telling you what we built toward and asking you to tell us where we have missed.

  • Keyboard navigationEvery interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator that is not removed.
  • Skip linkA skip-to-content link is the first focusable element on every page.
  • Semantic structureReal headings in order, landmark regions, list markup for lists, and native elements rather than styled div soup.
  • Reduced motionThe one animated element on the site respects prefers-reduced-motion and does not run for anyone who has asked their system not to.
  • Color contrastText contrast targets AA. Color is never the only way information is conveyed.
  • Text sizingLayouts use relative units and remain usable when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed.
  • No motion trapsNothing autoplays, nothing flashes, and there are no interstitials or modals interrupting reading.

If something isn’t working

Tell us and we will fix it. Call or text (704) 495-7855, or email Jared@honey-done-list.com. Describe what you were trying to do and what got in the way — you do not need to know why it is broken or what the fix is.

If the website is a barrier to reaching us, call or text instead. You never need to use this site to get a list to us.

Accessibility in the work itself

We install grab bars, handrails and stair rails into real framing or blocking rather than drywall anchors, which is how most of them get installed and why most of them fail. If you are making a home safer to age in, say so when you send your list and we will look at the whole path rather than just the item you asked about.
